You install and maintain systems for the automation of production processes with the associated control, regulation and drive systems. You modify systems according to operational requirements and support production employees in troubleshooting.
The training takes place in the dual system and lasts 3.5 years in the form of combined training.
The theoretical knowledge in: Analysing the function of automation systems and their interrelationships, as well as modifying and expanding systems
Programming complex open and closed-loop control systems and visualising processes
Installing and configuring automation technology components as well as device, sensor, communication and operating systems
Acquiring, transmitting and processing measurement data
Connecting individual components to automation equipment and integrating them into higher-level systems
Commissioning and monitoring automation systems and associated drives
Repairing existing systems using test software and diagnostic systems, and optimising and expanding them as required - these are the skills you will acquire at the vocational training centres in Riesa and Elsterwerda.
REQUIREMENTS
At least a very good qualifying secondary school diploma
Good or very good performance in mathematics and physics
Technical understanding and manual skills
Good English skills
