Only 1 year – and already grown up
A year ago, the digital and innovative mission of the Mayer Group started with its own company. All competences around digital solutions and service offerings were to be bundled in a new business division. An exciting and eventful review:
The new and modern premises on the grounds of the Mayer headquarters in Heilbronn have been considered a nucleus for creative ideas and new technologies since November 2019. Whether "go-live" for the first internationally newly founded production site with SAP S/4HANA or the cross-group relaunch of the entire web presences: The most diverse input became efficient and tangible output. We have proven our claim to agile and mobile working in many projects and successively implemented it. A well-positioned collaboration and video conferencing system ensures that the teams of the Mayer Group come together across distances in a goal-oriented and focused manner. Similarly, workshops across locations and countries now take place almost exclusively virtually.
Investments in SAP Commerce Cloud technology and other digital products give both mayer-digital and our customers the decisive edge.
One example, among many others, is the installation of a central purchasing platform for all customers of the Mayer Group based on SAP Commerce Cloud. In terms of know-how and competence development, our own internal promotion of young talent is particularly close to our hearts: the cooperation with the Center for Advanced Studies of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University has already resulted in the first Master's student, Niclas Weisenburger, becoming a permanent member of the team as a Junior SAP Business Consultant. As a training company of the Heilbronn Chamber of Industry and Commerce, we are also currently training the first IT system administrator.
We are starting the second year with motivation, team spirit and many goals.

Digitales Kompetenzzentrum stärkt Innovationskraft
13.12.2019 – Die Mayer-Gruppe hat im November 2019 den neuen Geschäftsbereich mayer-digital am Hauptstandort in Heilbronn gegründet. mayer-digital wird zukünftig als digitales Kompetenzzentrum der gesamten Unternehmensgruppe hervortreten.
