Absolute state
of the future

We assume corporate social responsibility: climate protection, environmentally friendly strategies, responsible use of resources, and social commitments are central components of the Mayer Group's philosophy.

CSR IS A PASSIONAL MATTER
IN THE MAYER GROUP

If nature and society are out of balance, successful business cannot take place. As a company, it is in our own interest to assume social responsibility and to plan and act for the future and future generations in the long term. We also pay attention to these values with our business partners. The Mayer Group has been doing this since its founding. We have committed ourselves, and we will continue to commit ourselves, to meet the challenges of our time with courage and action.

We love paper. And we love life.

MAILgreen - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION AND ECONOMY

With the production of ecological products, such as the world's first climate-neutral envelope Envirelope®, we have been demonstrating our claim in this area since 2009. The CO2-neutral product received the " Blauer Engel" (Blue Angel) as an additional award. Our own brands NAUTILUS®, SUMO® and others also put the important effects for the environment first, in addition to all quality features and characteristics.

THERE IS NOTHING GOOD.
UNLESS YOU DO IT. THE MAYER GROUP PUTS ITS PHILOSOPHY AND VALUES INTO PRACTICE AND LETS SUSTAINABLE ACTIONS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

A large part of our comparatively low ecological footprint is due to our MAILgreen philosophy, which includes the following measures:

CO2-neutral products and production (on customer request) • FSC® and PEFC certification • DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 50001 certification • "Blue Angel" recycled paper • Green Energy production • Printing with water-based inks, use of water•soluble glues • Increased use of recycled paper • Use of deinkable flexo ink • Use of leftover ink for internal printing • Use of solar technology • Infrared drying to reduce electricity consumption • Optimised use of materials: narrower side flaps and thinner window film • window film made from renewable raw materials • recycling of paper and inks • cleaning and treatment of dirty water before discharge • use of rainwater to dilute flexo inks and for cleaning • use of reusable eco-boxes instead of disposable cardboard boxes • double-deck loading to reduce waste gases.

COMMITMENT AND CONTROL

Climate protection and energy efficiency are the most urgent challenges of our time.
This goal cannot be achieved without a committed contribution from the business community.

Code of conduct

We at Mayer-Group have set a goal of developing and successfully marketing innovative products.
Our Code of Conduct reflects our obligation as a socially responsible business to fulfil the expectations of our stakeholders.
It encompasses the principles and rules for ethical corporate behaviour.

#mayerforKIDS

Children are close to our hearts! We support valuable projects that positively promote children's development and open up potential and perspectives for them to become strong personalities. We talk about this so that these excellent initiatives receive attention and find more supporters.

Gambia

Gambiahilfe-hohenlohe e.v.
WITH HEART AND HELP DIRECTLY THERE

The commitment of Gambiahilfe has long since become a matter close to our own hearts in the Mayer Group. During regular visits abroad, the status of initiated projects is documented and an overview is gained of the situation on the spot and of the next offers of help to be implemented.

In addition to providing educational opportunities for children and young people, Gambiahilfe-Hohenlohe also organises medical care on site to compensate at least a little for the lack of infrastructure. All volunteers pay for flights and accommodation from their own personal funds. There are no administrative costs either in Germany or in Africa. This means that every cent of the donations can be used for the children. The energetic on-site help is provided during the supporters' holidays or free time. Whether it is a daily hot meal for the children, equipment for the schools and kindergartens or the construction and maintenance of the mobile dental station - even small donations can do a lot of good.

SUPPORT FOR REGIONAL CHILDREN'S PROJECTS

Mayer Group supports Lucky Letter

One of these outstanding projects was created for children by the educationalist, psychologist and sociologist (M. A.) Yvonne Heim: Lucky Letter. Lucky Letter is a little letter that asks when is a life happy? What does it take? Who do you need for that? And what can you do for it? These are precisely the questions that Yvonne Heim asked herself as a mother: "How can I give my child the tools for a happy life, beyond material things? How is that supposed to work in hectic everyday life?"

Lucky Letter brings happiness to children between the ages of five to ten in a 12-part monthly letter series and enables them, together with their parents or (great) grandparents, to discover, remember and experience the little things in life that are actually quite big.
